ABOUT

Welcome to my site; I’m Mark. I was born south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in a town on the Monongahela river where I still reside today. I have two kids, including my daughter who is my favorite and I love very much.

Working with my hands has always come naturally. This led me to attend Vo-tech during high school. After graduation, I signed up to take the Ironworkers Aptitude Exam for Local Union No. 3 along with 800 other applicants. I was 1 of only 40 people chosen for an apprenticeship and thus my career got started. My time in the Local 3 took me all over the region working on bridges, skyscrapers, blast furnaces, and even roller coasters.

After 35+ years as an Ironworker, I decided to retire to focus on my family and the types of work I love. Since my retirement, I’ve taken on new projects and perfected my skills. I’m sharing my work here to offer insight into how I did my work, tips & tricks, and to inspire others to start their own projects. Feel free to contact me with any questions or feedback; I’d love to help. email@email.com
